Titmore Green Barns
We’re delighted to announce a major step forward in one of our current projects—planning permission has been granted for an innovative barn conversion in Hertfordshire! 🏡 This journey so far has been a true collaboration, working closely with our client, planning consultant Paul Atton at Weldon Beesly LLP, and energy assessor TwoEighty Consulting. Together, we’re changing an agricultural barn, adjacent to a listed farmhouse, into a stunning single dwelling and three commercial units paired seamlessly on the opposite sides of the structure. Challenge: Transforming an old agricultural barn into a modern, functional space while preserving its historical essence and meeting stringent planning regulations. Solution: Through innovative design and meticulous planning, we’ve crafted a solution that balances heritage and modernity. Our commitment to sustainability is at the heart of this project, ensuring every decision respects the environment. From energy-efficient systems to sustainable materials, we’ve integrated eco-friendly practices throughout the design. This is more than just a barn conversion—it’s a vision brought to life, where architecture meets innovation, and heritage meets environmental responsibility. We can’t wait to share more as the journey unfolds!

Project Update from Thornley, Durham!
Last week, Matt Moore and Richard Tavener headed up north to visit our exciting project in Thornley, Durham. It was a fantastic opportunity to see the progress being made on-site and catch up with the team to discuss upcoming milestones and challenges. Welcoming Luke To Boast Architects
Over the past five weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Luke to Boast Architects for a work experience placement! Luke, currently studying Construction Management at Oaklands College, brought amazing enthusiasm and curiosity to his time with us, and it’s been a joy to share insights into the world of architectural practice with him. During his placement, we challenged Luke to design his own building on a real site we recently completed. On his final day, he confidently presented his concept to the team, thoroughly explaining his vision and thoughtfully embracing our feedback. Here’s what Luke had to say about his experience with us: "It was very helpful, it taught me a lot about the job role, AutoCAD, and detailing. It was a very enjoyable experience." We’re delighted to have been part of Luke's journey and can’t wait to see the exciting future he builds!
Transforming Tradition: Cottingham Farm Barns, Bovingdon
Challenge: Our mission was to transform a traditional barn into three distinctive, modern dwellings while preserving the charm and character of the Hertfordshire countryside. Approach: Inspired by the original barn's profile, we expertly blended traditional architectural elements with innovative construction techniques. By utilising modern SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) and finishing with sleek zinc cladding, we achieved a harmonious balance between heritage and contemporary design. Result: The outcome is a set of timeless homes that beautifully marry the old with the new. Cottingham Farm Barns stands as a testament to our ability to respect heritage while embracing modern sustainability and design principles.
