Challenge: Our mission was to transform a traditional barn into three distinctive, modern dwellings while preserving the charm and character of the Hertfordshire countryside.
Approach: Inspired by the original barn’s profile, we expertly blended traditional architectural elements with innovative construction techniques. By utilising modern SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) and finishing with sleek zinc cladding, we achieved a harmonious balance between heritage and contemporary design.
Result: The outcome is a set of timeless homes that beautifully marry the old with the new. Cottingham Farm Barns stands as a testament to our ability to respect heritage while embracing modern sustainability and design principles.
